Panasonic ToughBook CF-08 Tablet PC-Like PDA is scheduled to be released in May

Panasonic will release a rugged PDA, with a tablet PC look and feel. The release is scheduled for this May, on 15. The new rugged PDA from Panasonic is called "Panasonic ToughBook CF-08".

A nice feature of the new rugged PDA from Panasonic is the 10.4 inch touch sensitive display, with a resolution of 1024x768 px. Other technical specifications would be: an Intel PXA270 processor at 312MHz, 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM memory, up to 14 hours of battery life and Windows CE 5.0.

The ToughBook CF-08 tablet is told to withstand a fall from 1.2 m and also to be water resistant. The touch sensitive display has Anti-Reflection technologies, so the usage outdoors should not be difficult from this point of view.

ToughBook CF-08 tablet also features 802.11b/g wireless, Ethernet LAN and Bluetooth 1.2 and USB 1.1. The price has not yet been released to the public. The release date is known to be 15 May 2007.
