Panasonic Rugged Notebooks To Be Launched in Japan

Panasonic has confirmed the intention to refresh it's rugged notebooks line and they have chosen the target market as outside Japan for the next years expansion.

According to Panasonic officials, the 7-series rugged notebooks are targeted to corporate users. The plans are that 4 Panasonic rugged notebooks to be launched, all based on Intel's Santa Rosa platform.

The CF-R7 is the notebook that will be available only in Japan and will incorporate a 10.4-inch screen with 1,024 pixels by 768 pixels (XGA) resolution. The notebook will be launched in Japan on October 19th at the price of ¥205,000 (approx Rs. 70,430).

The CF-T7 rugged notebook will also be available initially in Japan. The notebook has a 12.1-inch XGA screen and will be launched on October 19th too. The CF-T7 will cost ¥220,000 (approx Rs. 75,600).

The CF-W7 includes DVD Super-multi drive and will go on a sale in Japan on Nov. 16th for around ¥250,000 (approx Rs. 85,890).

The CF-Y7 is a high end notebook having 14.1-inch screen with 1,400×1,050 pixels (SXGA) resolution and the DVD Super-multi drive. This also will go on sale in Japan from Oct 19th.

Finally, the high-end CF-Y7 has a 14.1-inch screen with 1,400×1,050 pixels (SXGA) resolution and the DVD Super-multi drive. It will launch on Oct. 19th and will cost about ¥270,000 (approx Rs. 92,770).
