EV-DO Revision A Certifications from Panasonic and Verizon Wireless

Yesterday, on June 19, Panasonic and Verizon Wireless announced new notebook certifications for embedded access to the EV-DO Revision A-based BroadbandAccess service from Verizon Wireless.

Among the certified Panasoni products we could find Panasonic Toughbook 30 , Panasonic Toughbook 19 tablet PC and semi-rugged notebooks Panasonic Toughbook 74.

Panasonic and Verizon provides embeded EV-DO solutions for Toughbook notebooks since mid-2005.

Broadband access with EV-DO Revision A allows downloading files, email attachment and a speed between 600 and 1.4 Mbps and upload speed  averaging 500 to 800 Kbps. All you need in order to access these service on any Toughbook is to purchase Sierra Wireless’ embedded MC-5725 PCi Express card, and VZAccess software.
