DynaVue(TM) Touchscreen, New Display Technology from General Dynamic Itronix

On May 30, General Dynamics Itronix introduced the new touchscreen technology called DynaVue(TM). DynaVue(TM) Technologies will enhance the display of rugged and semi-rugged notebooks and tablet PCs provided by Itronix. DynaVue(TM) improves viewability of Itronix rugged notebooks in difficult conditions, including direct sunligh. The new technology is focuses on contrast ratio and polarization techniques.

This new pattent-pending technology, Itronix virtually eliminates internal reflections of the display,enhancing display clarity.

"According to our most recent user research, display quality and daylight viewability rank among the top three purchase criteria for rugged notebooks," said David Krebs, a senior analyst at Natick, Mass.-based Venture Development Corporation. "The General Dynamics Itronix DynaVue display technology provides a truly impressive solution without compromising battery life or processing power."

The difference that DynaVuew brings is the fact that it does not add light to the display in order to improve readability outdoors, but relies on a patent-pending light filter that provide rich color, sharp images and details.
