Dell decided to put solid state drives on D420 and D620 laptops
Dell realises the potential of flash based disks (SSDs) and intends to put them on next generation Latitude notebooks.
Dell announced that it is going to put a 1.8-inch 32GB Solid State Drive (SSD) from SanDisk on its shipping Latitude D420 ultra-mobile and D620 ATG semi-rugged notebooks.
Dell is among the first to offer SSD as an alternative to classic hard disk, considering features such as reliability, solidity and low noise of SSDs (Solid State Disks aka SSD are hard disks that don't use spinning plates but flash memory, increasing this way the solidity of these computer parts, making them perfect for use on rugged laptops and rugged notebooks)
