Latitude ATG,new rugged notebook from Dell
Dell Latitude ATG is a little different comparing to the rest of the family. It has a small bump out the front where the battery is placed, a rugged exterior casing and rubberised fittings over the rear ports.
Dell Latitude features a shock-mounted removable hdd, a rugged display a keyboard that is resistant to dust and spills and port-covers. Dell Latitude ATG is built to meet MIL SPEC 810F military standards, so it operates fine in difficult environments such as extreme humidity, shocks and vibrations and, guess what, it weights 3 kg, lighter for example than Panasonic Toughbook.
Using Dell Latitude ATG is quite a pleasure, the LCD is bright, the keyboard very responsive and the trackpad with a great sensitivity. The only thing that seems a bit strange?Left-right click buttons seems a bit too small.
Dell Latitude ATG features a Core 2 Duo processor at 2.2GHz, has a 6 hours battery life and costs around $3,578 but may also be found at more than $4,000 when it comes equiped with optional accessories or components.
