CK32IS, the only mobile computer to achieve Zone 0 certification

The new CK32IS handheld computer from Intermec provides a strong, rugged handheld computer for chemical industries, pharmaceutical, mining, oil and gas industries.

CK32IS will carry the largest list of global hazardous environmental ratings - including ATEX and IEC at launch, UL shortly thereafter, making it deployable to any regions of the world.

The rugged CK32IS has achieved an IP67 sealing and 5 foot drop spec, has been ATEX-certified for use in Zone 0 (gases) and Zone 20 (dusts and fibers) environments. Also, all accessories of CK32IS are tested for highest safety.

The new rugged handheld computer from Intermec has Intel XScale PXA270 processor, 128 MB of DRAM memory and 64 MB of non-volatile Flash memory and runs Windows Mobile 5.0 OS,Bluetooth®, VoIP support, integrated scanning, USB and Ethernet.

The CK32IS supports all the leading industry standards and development tools provided within Intermec's product offerings: SmartSystems™, Wavelink Avalanche Remote Device Management, Cisco® Compatible Extensions (CCX), Wi-Fi®, .NET, Java and the Intermec Developer Library (IDL).

ATEX and IEC certified CK32IS are already available, while UL certified handheld computers will be available starting in June.
