Assault ruggedized laptop from Systemax features a magnesium alloy case, antishock design, and a spill-resistant keyboard and touch pad, but these can not be considered very important features that make it stand from the crowd. The truth is that you can find these on some Dell and Lenovo serie models.

However, these features are not common to laptops starting at $1000 and this is a good point for Asault.

If you also consider the configuration with a 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, and Windows Vista Home you can get it for $1199 which is a reasonable price.

This ruggedized laptop was announced on 29 August so it is new to the market. Go get it or at least see it!
