New 64GB SSDs from SanDisk

64GB SSD, Sandisk

SanDisk released a new 64GB 1.8″ UATA 5000 SSD

SanDisk is again ahead with the new 64GB SSD. By now, all HDD producers should know that SSD is the key to the future. What SSD offers is speed, ruggedness, longer battery life.

Dell already puts SSD on their Latitude D420 and Latitude D620 ATG semi-rugged notebooks.

The new SSD uses NAND flash enhanced by TrueFFS® flash management technology and delivers around 228 years time to failure (MTTF)1 rate!!! Due to the fact that has no moving parts, the time that is spent usually on seeking files and spin time is not lost anymore.

SanDisk SSD UATA 5000 achieves a sustained read rate of 67-megabyte (MB)*/sec and a random read rate of over 7000 inputs/outputs per second (IOPS) for a 512-byte transfer2 – more than 100 times faster than any hard disk drive.

An other advantage of SanDisk SSDs is the consumption rate for usage, which is 0.5W, half of the usual consumption rate of 1W
