I have decided to go for the WordPress solution and try to give a new life to this website since I had no time for it in the past and now I would like to make it work. The "old" site is still there for Google compatibility reasons, nothing changed, just that it is not visible and in time this area will become more visible and visited. Yes, it is a WordPress theme, much easier to handle, indeed, even if the “old” site was based on a CMS developed by myself and I knew every bit of it.
